About Me

Chris Saunders joined JLL in 2018 and is Senior Vice President, Industrial Sales & Leasing, in the Calgary, Alberta office.  Chris only focuses on industrial real estate in the greater Calgary area and specializes in institutional listings, owner/occupier transactions, land sales, and tenant representation.

Chris’ career in industrial sales and leasing spans more than 25 years, which began on the landlord side of the industry while earning his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary.  After two years of part time and summer work with a national pension fund advisory firm while attending classes, he graduated and then began in brokerage with an international commercial real estate services firm.  He has held senior positions such as Vice President & Partner with an international brokerage firm, President and owner of his own industrial real estate marketing company for five years, Industrial Practice Lead, and most recently Senior Vice President with JLL.

Chris is highly service-oriented, delivering superior market insight, financial analysis, and overall strategic direction to each client circumstance. Chris is regularly relied upon to contribute his views at commercial real estate conferences, to the Calgary media, and at instructional courses, including Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies at the University of Calgary. He has won numerous top professional/top producer awards since entering the industry.

Chris has been married to his wife, Dawn, for over 25 years and they have three children together.  He has been actively involved in the community since moving to Calgary in 1991, frequently volunteering at fundraising events and regularly coaching/managing his children’s sports teams for the last 15+ years. Chris and his family have traveled extensively, including a sabbatical when they extensively explored New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji, Cook Islands, Singapore, and Australia, where his children attended school.
